We are a bavarian tavern and folk dance music group from Regensburg
in Bavaria, Germany and play traditional bavarian folk music from
the Oberpfalz and near regions. Our songs are handed over from generation
to generation by singing and playing.
Our music group was founded March, 1996. Since then we have past
a lot of acts. Now we are maximum 8 men strong music group.
d´ Wadlbeißer will be on stage in two different casts, the bavarian clarinet music (clarinet,
steyrian button harmonica, accordion, picking bass) and the bavarian dance music
(clarinet, trumpet, steyrian button harmonica, accordion, tuba).
We play a lot of different kinds of dances like polka, walz, gallop, march,
figure dances and a special bavarian dance called "Zwiefacher".
Within this song time/beat changes between a polka and a walz. This
change can be regular or in irregular distance. Because if this
changing beat, it´s on the one hand very difficult to dance and
on the other hand it can be very funny try to dance this bavarian
speciality.
We play for you on all kind of Bavarian folkore acts, birthdays,
weddings, partys, fairs, celebrations, international hotel ships
and many more events.
In october 2003 we played, invited by the German embassy, in the Republic Moldova.
In october 2004 we played, invited by the German embassy, in Teheran, the capital city of the Islamic
Republic Iran.
We also explain and dance traditional these bavarian figure dances with the audience.
This a good way to integrate the audience to the event.
